Jacob Awugo was born 10th October at Umoda Oju, Oju LGA of Benue State.

He attended All Saints Catholic Pri. Sch. Umoda Oju and proceeded to Mount Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School Makurdi. Upon graduation in ’88, he got admission into BENPOLY, Ugbokolo, Benue State to read Fine Arts.

Jacob has previously worked as a Painter with Julius Berger PLC and since gone into private practice as an Artist, Painter and Printer, delivering top notch jobs.

He has also had a remarkable football career as a Referee with NFF/NPFL. Though retired, he is now an NFF Referee Instructor as well as NFF/NPFL Referee Accessor. He has won many laurels and held top positions in sports including;

• Best Referee of the year in FCT, 2014
• FCT Referee Training officer 2011-2018
• Vice Chairman 1, FCT Referees Council 2023 till date
• Director of Sports SUG, BENPOLY, 1996.

Back in MSG, Jacob was a day student Labor Prefect and School's Athletic Captain. As a form 4 student in ‘87, he won the best essay writer competition in Benue State, organized by the Rotary Club Makurdi, which earned him a scholarship for his final year in school.

Jacob Awugo is a devote Catholic and former Archdiocesan Secretary of Divine Mercy Devotion.

He is available and can be contacted for all works relating to Arts, Painting and Printing. He is Married with 3 children and lives in Abuja, Nigeria.
