Atume Butu was born on 15^th April 1977 and hails from Vandeikya LGA of Benue State.

He had his primary education at Lower Benue Staff School, Makurdi and attended the prestigious Mount Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School, before proceeding to Benue State University to read Law. He graduated with an LL.B (Hons). Next up for him was Law School for the mandatory call to the Nigerian bar. He topped that up with a Council of Legal Education Qualifying Certificate B.L.

Atume has practiced law across the country, starting from Pelican Attorneys Abuja to M. Lubem Ukpo & Associates (Eirene Chambers), as an Associate, and now at Butu, Tor-Adza and Co as a Principal Partner.

His goal is to work and strive for excellence in an environment where skills, ability and knowledge will be fully utilized. He loves reading, writing and the games of football and chess.

He is a dedicated member of the MSGOBA family and always goes the extra mile to help.

Atume Butu is happily married with four children and lives in Makurdi where he practices law.
